My niece Leah gave us this delicious and easy brownie recipe, which my daughter then tweaked a little to suit our level of “Chocolatey-ness” (which is somewhere in the middle of the scale). 😊
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter (melted)
- 2 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Dry ingredients:
- 1 cup or 100 gms unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp salt [Note: Omit if using salted butter]
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/4 or 163 gms all purpose flour
Wet ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
Instructions
Baking temp: 350F.
Pan size: One 9×13 pan or Two 8-inch round pans, buttered and lined with parchment paper.
Baking time/Duration: 55 to 60 mins for 9×13 pan / 40 to 45 mins for 8 inch round pans.

- Preheat the oven to 350F.
- Pick the pan size and prep them as mentioned above.
- Melt the butter, add the sugar, and beat with an electric mixer until butter is no longer hot.
- Add the wet ingredients and mix well.
- Sift in the dry ingredients and mix until well combined. Do not over mix.
- Add the chocolate chips and fold them in with a spatula.
- Transfer to the baking dish.
- Bake for the time mentioned above, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool, cut and enjoy!
